Advanced Ranking Factors For Your Entire Niche

Where a single Cora Report can help you figure out how to optimize your site for a specific term in a given area, Cora Trends considers a much bigger picture. If your business is targeting a small area, a single report is perfect for you. For the vast majority of us, however, we need a much larger sample. Cora Trends will show you what the most important ranking factors are going to be for an entire country or across a whole niche. These reports will provide you with the most advanced SEO ranking factors available all over the world.

Just what “Trend” are we talking about here?

When we refer to a trend with reference to Cora Reporting, we are actually talking about the audience you are trying to reach. What is working for the local business that is trying to rank for a super specific service area, will not be the same as a global enterprise. When we create a Cora Trend Report we take a look at the most immediate surrounding areas and the sites that are ranking therein. Then, by analyzing the top 100 sites for each geo-section and what has allowed them to be successful in each area, we can provide data driven metrics that you can use on your own site. It is the trends across all of the areas analyzed that make up the the information in your report.

Different audiences require different approaches

When we consider athletics, it is easy to see why a short distance sprinter has different fitness goals than a long distance marathon runner. Where one trains for short bursts of power, the other values stamina and longevity. Ranking in a specific market or reaching a certain audience is no different when it comes to SEO. What is providing global ranking success for for company A will not just simply work for company B.

With a Cora Trend Report we not only see what is helping your competition rank for a given term but we add an extra layer. We ask what is helping them rank for X term in Y area. This information is again compared with several surrounding areas to give a much broader idea. This data is going to help you get a much bigger slice of the pie you were actually looking for, not just whatever is left behind.

All the power of a single Cora report, for a much broader service area.

Targeted strategies for targeted locations

If you are a local business or have a very specific area you want to target with your marketing efforts, one of our stand-alone Cora Reports might be exactly what you need. That being said, a Cora Trend Report expands on this by giving a more comprehensive look at your desired niche.

The Cora Trend report will show you all of the same pertinent information and data driven metrics, but with a more expansive view of the competition. This kind of targeting will allow you to compete directly with the other companies that are vying for top position in your targeted niche.

What Size Area Are You Really Trying To Target?

Getting the rankings you are looking for is hard enough on its own. Do you really want to be competing against other sites that are not even targeting the same clients? Of course not! That’s why cora trends allows you to target a general national area or a broad global area, all surrounding your point of origin. Here is what each entails:

Global - We target over 20 high population zones surround your central business location. Each zone is in as many different neighbouring countries as is possible. The goal is to give a good mix of places that represent the overall demographic of the given area.

National - More directly targeted than the global report, we look at over 10 of the surrounding high population zones. These are typically the most major cities in the surrounding states, provinces and areas.

Local - While Cora Trends is not designed to work for a single zone, Cora certainly is. Our standard Cora Reports can provide you with all of the same data driven metrics as our trends reports. This information, however, would be focused for your immediate service area.

Global marketing needs global data and Cora provides exactly that.

SHOULD I TRY TO MAKE ALL OF THE CHANGES IN MY TRENDS REPORT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE?
While you will ultimately want to make the vast majority of the changes, doing them all at once is not advisable. Google loves things looking natural and making a ton of changes all at once just isn't. Start with your most problematic areas and address those first. Make changes in small clusters and see what effect is has. As you go you will see how your rankings for your keyword either fluctuate or don’t.
HOW LONG IS A TRENDS REPORT ACCURATE FOR?
Your Cora Trends report is a “Snapshot” of the current state of Google at a given time. This information can and does change all the time. For this reason, it is advised that a fresh Cora report is pulled prior to making any major changes to your site. This will ensure you have the most up-to-date information to make decisions from.
HOW MUCH CAN I CHANGE AT ONCE IF I AM RANKING WELL / POORLY?
Depending on your current rankings you will either want to be careful or more liberal with your modifications. If you are currently low, you can feel free to make more changes at once as the only place to go is up. If you are ranking well, on the other hand, you will want to take more care. Make smaller changes and see how it affects things. Something you are currently doing is right and we do not want to upset that.
CAN I GET A CORA TRENDS REPORT WITHOUT AN ACTIVE SITE TO SEE WHAT RANKING FACTORS WILL BE IMPORTANT?
Yes, for the required domain put NA and the report will show you what the top 100 sites are doing for a given search term. This will not have information on how your site compares but can give you an idea of what you would need to get started.
